🎯 Aim
To use sets and Venn diagrams to organise data and to classify numbers.
You will learn to
- Use set notation: ∪, ∩, complement.
- Draw and read Venn diagrams.
- Use n(A ∪ B) = n(A) + n(B) − n(A ∩ B).
- Classify numbers as natural, integer, rational or irrational.
🧭 What to do
- Change the numbers in the survey and watch the Venn diagram.
- Read n(A ∪ B), the “only” regions and “neither”.
- Make n(A ∩ B) too large: what happens?
- Choose each Number and see which sets contain it.
- Answer the questions with the class data.
- Write your conclusion and download your lab report.
